How adoption works

Step 1: Find
Search and filter the animals, or take the short matching quiz. Save the ones you love.
Step 2: Meet
Plan a visit and spend time with the animals you picked. Applying does not hold an animal, so visit soon.
Step 3: Take them home
Apply, talk with an adoption counselor, pay the fee, and take your new family member home.

Tuesday to Friday: 11 am to 6 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm

Adoption paperwork closes 30 minutes before closing. Holiday hours are posted on our home page. Times are Eastern.
